Besides quilting fabrics, we have procion dyes, silk paints, paintstiks, different types of silk and a fabulous yarn department.
We have a store dog -- This is Noli, short for Noli Cannoli. She started out as a yellow lab but has matured into a yellow lab/golden retriever mix. She’s a sweetheart. We celebrated her first birthday in 2006 by asking customers to bring in a can of dog food for her to share with Haven Humane Society. Noli was able to give Haven Humane Society 130 pounds of food. Some of that food was even for cats. Also, Noli had a wonderful time having all those customers giving her all that attention! Last year (2007) she gave the Humane Society 500 pounds of food and had even more fun than the year before This is Noli hearing someone coming into the store.

Here’s the “hubby comfort zone”. We try to make hubby as happy as we can so he won’t be rushing you too much. You can have the couch with or without Noli depending on her work schedule. The yarn department.

In case you didn’t know, we sell Juki Sewing Machines. This is the TL-98Q. Because it is specially designed for quilting, it straight stitches only. To name a few features, it has an automatic threader and trimmer, and a bigger throat for quilts to fit into.
Besides the food drive on Noli’s birthday we have a couple of other favorite charities. We try our “darnest” to raise money for free local mammograms. One year we challenged our customers to make something new out of a bra, or decorate one. Then we asked people to vote for their favorite bra – voting was done by money. The bra that made the most money won. In 2006 we collected lots of bras and made a thousand dollars. Also in the winter we ask people to donate hats for the needy. We got 70 hats in 2005 and 153 hats in 2006. We added scarves and gloves to the donations in 2007 and received 167 hats, 27 scarves, and 30 pair gloves, 8 sets of hats/gloves, and 1 set of hat/scarf set.
